Chapple Chandler x Canvas Jewelry Collection

The Emmie Camellia Earrings are inspired by a painting created by my great-grandmother, Emmie Chandler. She loved painting camellias, and one of her works hangs in my living room today.

Emmie was an artist, a theatre and speech teacher, and a beloved grandmother. Though I never had the chance to meet her, I feel deeply connected to her through my love of creativity and expression. She was one of the few women of her time with a college education, and her influence reached far beyond her family. Years ago, one of her former students’ sons even reached out to me on Instagram to share how much Emmie impacted his father’s life — a reminder of how profoundly she touched others.

Pookie’s ring and necklace are named for my grandmother. In my dining room, I have an ornate gold mirror that belonged to Pookie layered atop a beautiful English blue and white wallpaper. Pookie was a decorator hobbyist, an antique collector and dealer by profession, and she just had a keen eye for design. I loved her Southern sophisticated Augusta style. The center of these jewelry pieces are designed to mimic my dining room wallpaper, and the ornate gold border is made to look like Pookie’s mirror.

Though Pookie passed away from a 16-year battle with cancer a few years back, her spirit lives on and is expressed through my passion for antiques, interiors, and Southern style. Touches of her personality and spunk are all around my home in the art, furniture, and mementoes she left to me.

The Suzy artichokes are named for my mom, Suzanne. Why artichokes? Well, a few reasons. First, she always made artichokes for me growing up because I didn’t like many other vegetables.

Second, when I redecorated my powder bath, I chose Coastal-Grandaughter artichoke wallpaper because they remind me of my mom and Pookie. I’m pretty sure they both had artichoke decor somewhere in their home, and it just reminds me of their quirky personalities.

Last, my mom and I were discussing my jewelry designs, and when the samples came in, she tried on these, and they were the pieces that were most fitting for her! I think the artichokes can suit any age. They’re truly multi-generational classic. And, artichokes are just cute!

Molly’s heart necklace and earrings with the bows were inspired by my daughter, Molly Kate, and are named for her! She actually helped design these pieces with me, and they are designed to be multi-generational, able to be worn by mother and daughter!

I have said for a long time that the day Molly Kate was born was the day I grew a whole other heart just to love her with! I was 20 years old in college when I had her, and she unlocked a love inside of me that I did not know I could have for another human being! She got me through so many tough days, and I owe a lot to her!

The Betsy Bow bracelet and pink Cameo earrings are named for my baby girl! Betsy was born right after I designed this collection, so the bows are symbolic of welcoming our sweet newborn home!

My grandmother, Pookie, loved cameo jewelry, and they remind me of times past. Betsy’s nursery is a sweet mix of antiques and new, so the combination of the cameos with the bows are reminiscent of both my home’s style and a reflection of sweet Betsy’s spirit too!
