Up Your Party Game With These Easy Tips

I love home birthdays. My tween daughter turned 12 this week! We have back-to-back birthdays, and this year, we kept it low-key and did a home birthday party at my mom’s house. My mom made my Nana’s recipe Coca-Cola Cake, which I’ll share in a follow up post, and it was the most delicious chocolate cake I’ve ever had.

We had a fun birthday party for my daughter at my mom’s house, and our blue and white, pink and gold decorations turned out really cute! I wasn’t sure about adding the gold – MK insisted on it – but it all came together beautifully.

I’ve found that I really love incorporating heirloom family pieces into the fun birthday party decor. Some ideas are pieces of silver flatware, crystal drink ware, Chinoiserie vases, silver vases, etc. There’s something about it that makes it feel more like home, when you add a little bit of mom’s fancy granny-chic pieces with new, fresh, modern party decorations.

I also made a balloon arch. If you haven’t made one before, be sure to follow me on Instagram (@chapplechandler) where I have a balloon arch tutorial saved in my highlights!

I’ve linked all the party products and more related products for you at the bottom of this post! You can also follow me on LiketoKnow. It to shop my pictures and for more home decor, fashion, kids fashion, and lifestyle products! Happy party planning!
