Tips for styling a shorts set like this one from @taylortillman.ny:

1. LACE BLAZER - with a shorts set, you need a blazer to elevate the look, but they can be hot in the south, that’s why I love a lace blazer! It’s breezy! I found lots of lace blazers in stock for reasonable prices / on sale. I rounded them up on my LTK post today.

2. A BOW - This bow is a stunning design by @elizabethalicestudio x @grace.and.grandeur - it’s not linked on LTK, so visit their profiles to shop. I love a bow to add a preppy / feminine touch to any look.

3. BLOCK HEELS - these pretty heels are a staple for any special occasion this spring or summer. They’re linked on my LTK. And they are a great price too!

4. STATEMENT EARRINGS - you have to have a good statement earring to complete your look! My favorites are from @canvas_style because they have the best prices! Shop these on my LTK.

There will never be enough pictures to recount the

There will never be enough pictures to recount the wonderful memories I have of my Nana. Mary Miller Chandler, my Nana, was a beautiful person inside and out. She was kind, warm, and thoughtful. She was the epitome of southern hospitality. She hosted many events, cooked the best meals, and taught me and my sisters how to cook. She and Papa took us on Disney trips, they had us over for spend the nights, and they were just the best grandparents.

Some of my fondest memories of my grandparents were of growing up in Carrollton, living behind them in Oak Mountain Park where our back yards connected, and we could walk to their house. We used to play in their backyard and climb on the big rocks, making up games like “the ground was lava”. They had a basement with a whiteboard where we would play school, and they had an annual barbecue for Southwire, where my Papa worked, and I recall helping shuck corn in the gazebo out back.

My grandparents were wonderful, hard working people. A generation that valued work, ethics, and manners. My Nana appreciated things like hand-written thank you notes, setting the table with her fine china, crystal and silver for special occasions, baking homemade cakes for birthdays, and making sure the house was clean and ready for guests. And her voice. Her Southern drawl was the most charming thing ever. I loved hearing her tell stories of the past, growing up in the Great Depression, traveling the world with Papa, and going down to the alter at church when she was 7 to give her life to the Lord.

There are so many things I will miss about Nana, but mostly her presence, her voice and her hugs. I love you Nana, give Papa a hug for me. 🩵
